ABSTRACT
I want to discuss some problems in sense resolution that I have run into in trying to get computers to understand human language. (Actually, my real interest is in how people understand human language, but trying to explain it to a computer provides a severe test for my ideas.) I think that Soar might suggest some solutions to these problems, but before I can even ask sensible questions, I need to explain where I am coming from.
