ABSTRACT
This chapter reflects on the general area of psychological differentiation. It is mainly concerned with a longitudinal research program aiming systematically to investigate developmental trends, at the biological and psychological levels, from the beginning of human life. Although not primarily designed in terms of Witkin's framework, our research program is fully open to consider hypotheses and measures relevant to Witkin's theory.
