ABSTRACT
Over the course of my career there have been a number of developments that have influenced my thinking concerning the study of human memory and cognition. In this chapter I will briefly discuss some of the more significant of those developments. The approach will be historical in nature and highly selective in that it will focus only on those ideas and conceptualizations that have had the greatest impact on my own thinking.
