ABSTRACT
Dr. Hunt has presented some very convincing evidence that psychological development in infancy and early childhood is highly plastic. The evidence has been of two types: the first is that occurring by virtue of “experiments of nature” in which children of low socioeconomic status have been adopted at an early age into middle-class or professional families; and the second is evidence involving experimental intervention procedures in daycare centers or institutional settings.
