As they prove their merit, larger groups and organizations begin to adopt their methods and help to disseminate the ideas behind them in order to support the larger community. So it has proven to be in the realm of spiritually oriented psychotherapy, where centers are springing up around the country and the world to provide education, guidance, inspiration, and support to those professionals compelled, either personally and/or professionally, to incorporate spiritual teachings in their therapeutic practices. This evolution is occurring, confirming the need, in an underpublicized but definite way in a field that has been slow to acknowledge the relevance and potency of spiritual ideas for mental health.
