ABSTRACT
SUMMARY. The need for mental health/psychoeducational services for children in battered women's shelters is discussed. In addition to questions of types, targets, and timing of services, the need for a careful evaluation of all shelter-based services for children is emphasized. Suggestions and guidelines are provided for designing, implementing, and evaluating services for children in battered women's shelters.
