ABSTRACT
Sandy G. was despairing about herself and her life with her husband, whom she described as verbally and emotionally abusive. Sandy was referred to me by a social worker who was helping her with some medical problems; the social worker knew of Sandy's husband's abusiveness and was frustrated at her inability to help Sandy.
