ABSTRACT
Jung’s concept of individuation is a deeply ethical one. But the enormous and rapid changes in our century create situations which lead us to recognise that individuation is not just a sophisticated luxury, but indeed an indispensable necessity if we are to survive. It is the nature of these changes and the way in which they impinge on us that is my concern in this chapter.
