ABSTRACT
The Odes of Solomon are forty-two hymns attributed to Solomon, because of his renowned wisdom and especially because of the biblical record which asserts that he composed numerous poetic works. The odes were composed by a Jew who had become a Christian. He most likely lived in the community that produced the Gospel of John.
