ABSTRACT
Consider the following items: Swiss motorable passes, Swiss cantons, and Switzerland. How will they be treated by a spatial analyst, a thematic geographer, and a regional geographer?
The spatial analyst will study motorable passes in Switzer land, or in those cantons which have motorable passes, in relation to other localized phenomena in and outside Switzer land, or in and outside the cantons in question.
