ABSTRACT

Organizations — commercial, institutional, or governmental — need information to uncover market opportunities and to plan, implement, and evaluate programs and activities in pursuit of those opportunities. Alcoholism treatment marketers have needs for specialized information for these same reasons. Achievement of an alcoholism treatment marketer's objectives is contingent in part on how well the marketer researches for relevant information. Accordingly, this article deals with the general process of obtaining relevant information and with specific sources of information for alcoholism treatment marketers.
