ABSTRACT
This essay will address a mental health problem, staff abuse by the elderly institutionalized skilled nursing home patient, and one intervention which was used in an attempt to improve behavior of a group of assaultive patients. The plan for the intervention, as well as the positive and negative outcomes ensuing from the intervention will be described.
