ABSTRACT

This section describes the complexities of interaction between the State Watershed Development Cell (SWDC) of the State Government of Karnataka (GoK) and a local NGO (MYRADA). 7 This experience has to be seen against the wider political setting in Karnataka which has been conducive to pluralistic approaches to development, as demonstrated by the interaction which has evolved over time between the GoK and the Federation for Voluntary Organisations for Rural Development in Karnataka (FEVORD-K).
