ABSTRACT
The International Institute for Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) is an international NGO committed to changing the quality of life of the rural poor in the developing countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America. IIRR evolved from the revolutionary, grassroots development project initiated in China by Dr Y C Yen in the mid- 1920s, integrating education, livelihood, health and self-government.
