ABSTRACT
As a commentator on the chapters by Joseph Carens and Ian Little, I find myself in the position of disagreeing far more with Carens than with Little about the implications of liberal egalitarianism. I shall therefore focus primarily on the contribution by Carens. The course of my discussion will take the following form.
