Eavesdropping on debates in language education and learning

To be an evaluator in Great Britain today inevitably requires the building of many bridges across many disciplinary divides. I first encountered language teachers with an interest in evaluation at an early gathering of the UK Evaluation Society. Until that time I had not realised that there was such a strong interest in evaluation within that professional group.
