Race, gender and generation

Generation, gender and race are fundamental divisions in the societies of Latin America, providing a basis for the creation of social identities and for the perpetuation of differences between individuals and groups. These three human dimensions mutually influence the uses of resources and spaces in the continent, and also account for varying benefits from the development process.
