ABSTRACT
One of the most important landmarks in the history of CAMHS strategy in the UK was the 1995 NHS Health Advisory Service’s ‘tiered model’ of service delivery. Nearly 20 years since its inception the tiered model remains the preferred framework to organise the commissioning, management and delivery of mental health services for children and young people with mental health problems and disorders in the UK.
