ABSTRACT
This paper is written by someone who remains external to the so called “ practice turn” in epistemology 1 (taking for granted that something like it did indeed happen, if not necessarily for all researchers, nor necessarily to the same degree for everyone). From such a position, I am tempted by both positive and negative reactions towards that which I do not feel part of.
