ABSTRACT
Worldwide, the resource, pollution, socioeconomic and political news is not cheering. Environments are degrading, climatic change perturbs seasonal rainfall, per capita food production is falling, and the disparity between the rich and poor within countries is growing even as total GDP rises. These developments make hopes for international rescue of third world countries decreasingly credible.
