ABSTRACT

A descriptive discussion of fifteen research studies in children’s response to literature is introduced as insightful information to assist librarians involved in readers’ advisory work and reading guidance with children and young adults. Implications of the findings for practice suggest ways that librarians can enhance services in this area.
