ABSTRACT

SUMMARY. A review of recent journal use data at the Medical College of Wisconsin Libraries showed a rapid shift in user preferences. The decline in print use was as dramatic as the increase in the use of electronic versions. Some of the unusual challenges of producing use reports for electronic journals are presented in this article. Last, but not least, some observations about the relationship between the access infrastructure and electronic journal use are discussed.
