ABSTRACT
SUMMARY. The Joint Steering Committee for Revision of AngloAmerican Cataloging Rules (JSC) has been working on creating a new standard for cataloging. In this session, Paul Weiss provided a context for this new standard and explained the work that has been done by the JSC. The presentation covered the impetus behind the new standard, the process for development of a first draft, reaction to that draft, and the current direction of the JSC’s work.
