ABSTRACT

At the very start of conceptualizing this chapter I must admit that I felt worried. Did my discomfort stem from this issue? And if so, what disturbed me the most? In talking about sexuality within transition, did I want to prove an already existing procedure of the stereotyping and mirroring process—something that Abdul Jan Mohamed defines precisely as “racialized sexuality” within the global phallic economy (Stanton, 1992) and implemented in this very context? Or did I want to approach this as something completely different?
