ABSTRACT

WWViews is a new concept for deliberative democracy at both national and international levels of climate policy. Despite its status as the first-ever global citizen consultation, WWViews has simultaneously been introduced and adopted in many countries and policy cultures beyond its original context, Denmark. Even though some aspects of cultural variation were taken into account in the design of the WWViews concept, especially through international partners who contributed to its planning, it is still relevant to ask whether the assumptions of WWViews concerning citizen participation in policy-making transfer well.
