ABSTRACT

The business program was not established until 1993 but has continued to grow steadily, becoming the second largest discipline on campus. McCormack Charlene was one of those students who stand out— always open to new ideas, thriving on different research approaches, quick witted, congenial, and optimistic with an air of maturity. Most sources referred to information literacy tutorials at a more basic level such as searching databases and evaluating sources; or they discussed the effectiveness of online tutorials and, in particular, for distance learning. Charlene was currently taking the Entrepreneurial Management class where she was developing a business plan and grappling with how to approach this new tutorial. She planned to take the Entrepreneur’s Workshop in winter quarter as well, contributing to her enthusiasm and knowledge-base. The internship developed into a win-win situation for the intern and library, as well as for the Business program.
