ABSTRACT
Moving from ethnographical field results to anthropological analysis of contemporary urban transformations, this chapter aims to investigate how public spaces participate in political, economic, and cultural transformations as objects, instruments, and mirrors of social changes in a historical working class and migrant neighbourhood of Paris.
