ABSTRACT

This scholarly collection of fieldwork and research from a range of leading international authors across the management field is both timely and topical. The South East Asian region remains a diverse and dynamic part of the ‘greater Asia’ area and an important economic bloc. It contains a range of economies and types of firms and operating environments. However, the region has often received less academic and research interest and focus than East and North East Asia, although there have been many recent dynamic developments. This collection, we hope, will greatly contribute to the growing literature on South East Asia (see, for example, Rowley and Bhopal, 2005; 2006a; 2006b).
