It then discusses move to sport event environmental managerial performance, including sport event environmental policy, targets, and considerations for successfully meeting targets. Conscious capitalism can be promoted by any member or organization in sport, such as event managers, athletes, facility managers, spectators, and members of the media. The chapter focuses on sport event environmental operational performance based on tracking/monitoring and managing environmental activities for the resulting inputs and outputs expressed within an environmental audit. Elements within this performance include areas such as policy, targets, committees, and relationships, and implementing strategies for success, stakeholder disclosure, and funding. Overall, the management team of each event is responsible for the safeguarding of the natural environment for future sporting generations.
