Lawrence Dicksee, Depreciation, and the Double-Account System 1

Lawrece Robert Dicksee was the first man to hold a chair of accounting in a British university. He was also the first holder of a chair of accounting in the University of London; and he was the first teacher of accounting at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He was, in addition, the first British chartered accountant to write a book on depreciation. ²
