ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the findings from a review of past and present green tax (or fiscal) commissions in Europe, and from their experience distils suggestions for the effective establishment and operation of such commissions in the future. A brief early review of experience with green tax commissions is found in Schlegelmilch(1997).
