ABSTRACT

The development of novel forms of family therapy in the treatment of adolescent eating disorders has represented an important advance in the field. Behavioural Family Therapy (FBT), developed first for the treatment of Anorexia Nervosa (AN) (Lock & Le Grange, 2012) and later for the treatment of Bulimia Nervosa (BN) (Le Grange & Lock, 2007), is an evidence-based, manualized treatment that has been demonstrated to have good efficacy (Lock, Agras, Bryson, & Kraemer, 2005; Lock, Couturier, & Agras, 2006) and disseminability (Lock et al., 2006).
