ABSTRACT
The world economy has undergone momentous change in recent decades. This change has been fuelled by rapid advancements in technology and by the increasingly global, relentlessly ‘connected’ nature of work. What has emerged, of course, is a knowledge-based economy, one that holds tremendous potential for many countries and for millions of their individual citizens.
