ABSTRACT
Woody materials used for energy can be procured from different sources ranging from direct forest sources to short-rotation coppice crops. Procurement costs (in dry weight) can be highly variable from as low as $0–20/tonne for municipal solid waste up to as high as $90/tonne for short-rotation coppice crops.
