ABSTRACT

In this chapter the authors describe a research-in-practice project conducted by medical student Natasha Charlwood, undertaking her psychology project at University College London, and her tutor Howard Steele, working in collaboration with group leaders and researchers at Pen Green. An earlier version was published in the European Early Childhood Education Research Association’s journal (EECERJ, 2004, Vol. 12 No 2). The empirical component of the research project that follows concerned the use of the Adult Attachment Interview (AAI) with mothers using therapeutic support groups at Pen Green.
