ABSTRACT
This book has suggested a host of ideas for reducing energy use in buildings. It is perfectly possible for a zero or even negative carbon building to be built or renovated using the approaches suggested. (A negative carbon building is one that sequesters carbon rather than emitting it.) We have also tried to give an indication of tactics that energy managers can use to evaluate them and how to mount a campaign within the business, both among staff and for the benefit of senior management, to get everyone on side. We recommend obtaining the professional qualification associated with energy management, ISO 50001, or any of the other standards.
