ABSTRACT

In earlier issues of Accounting History, D. A. P. Forrester 1 and Peter Boys 2 have described courses in the history of accounting at the Universities of Strathclyde and Kent respectively. Accounting History has been taught at the London School of Economics and Political Science (L.S.E.) since 1952. I have been teaching a third-year undergraduate course in Accounting History for the last four years, and it is now an appropriate time to review the course's progress.
