ABSTRACT

In a recent issue of Engineering there appeared a long and well-written article upon the subject of Prospective Amendments of the Companies Acts, as conceived in the interests of engineers, manufacturers, and producers generally. As this article is of some interest, and as, moreover, it is desirable that we should avoid taking too narrow a view of such matters, we have reprinted it in full in another column of the present issue; and we now propose to deal with one or two of the points that appear to be especially worthy of attention, or in need of qualification.
