ABSTRACT
F or many tears managements have been developing techniques to help them plan and control the complex operations of the business corporation. Controllers have played a large part in the development of some of these tools-cost accounting, budgeting, special statistical studies and other techniques. Many of these tools have reached a state of considerable refinement Some indeed have reached the ultimate state of dwelling within an electronic tube and emerging only to shake a mechanical finger at erring human beings.
