ABSTRACT

In this book light and sound have been treated separately, with comparisons made between them in the Summary. There are two main reasons for this: first, it was felt that most teachers at primary level would teach light and sound separately. For that approach, the layout facilitates quick and easy reference. Secondly, it is only at a more advanced stage that the wave-nature of both light and sound is encountered. Without that link there is no compelling reason for combining the two in one chapter.
