ABSTRACT
During our last few months in Manila in 1966, Dr Harry L. Case, the Ford Foundation representative, discussed with C-J the idea of his writing a book about the Staff Colleges because of his involvement with so many of them; and after much heart-searching C-J agreed. We left the Philippines in July 1966. C-J had decided to undertake a journey round the colleges to bring himself up-to-date. He had also agreed to carry out a feasibility study for the Thai Government on a Staff College there.
