Lyric Poetry

It would be a subtle question to ask: whether the lyric poem were really a poem, superpoetry, or prose, infrapoetry? Just as the novel was regarded as prose, so the lyric was regarded as poetry — both wrongly. The highest, truest prose is the lyric poem.
