ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the cut-down version of 52 weekly blogs totalling nearly 30,000 words, posted by me between December 2016 and December 2017, exploring the personal challenges and organisational advantages of dyslexia. At its core, it advocates the seismic shift from portraying dyslexia as a disability through learning difference to advantage or superpower. The publication of ‘On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection’ by Charles Darwin on 24th November 1859 caused consternation. Nearly 158 years on, there is still debate in many parts of the world on whether evolution or creation theories should be taught in schools. The assignment is to repeat the process individually but this time produce a structured report—much like a bank would ask for when considering lending money.
