ABSTRACT
This chapter examines the ways in which the debates over the future of South West Africa in the UN Trusteeship Council helped hasten the anticolonial bent of the United Nations (UN) and gave Africans in South West Africa a platform to oppose South African occupation. It focuses on the debates within the Trusteeship Council as well as the ways in which Namibians were able to access the halls of the UN.
