Performance Space and the Architecture of Experience

In this chapter, Stucky confronts theorizes the familiar notion of a performance space. He argues that the “rooms” that we call theatres or performance spaces allow, constrain, require, encourage, and evoke the events we call theatre or performance. Human invention and experience imbue certain locales with expectation and possibility.
