ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the complexities of the position of a clinical psychologist within a team, and the challenges faced by both trainee and qualified clinical psychologists in developing and maintaining a professional identity in practice. This will be considered through discussion of an attempt to conceptualise the role of clinical psychology within a multidisciplinary child and adolescent mental health team.
