ABSTRACT

Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) adopted a competitive system by dividing the industry into six subsidiaries in April 2001. This study evaluates the performance management of the Korean electric power industry using a model of Bouckaert and Halligan (2006). In this chapter, we emphasize that individual performance management needs to be converted into a performance governance model system by applying the concept of social governance to performance management model that is linked to overall performance management system.
