ABSTRACT

This chapter highlights the key findings from previous chapters and synthesizes the results of each goal, which were analyzed using indexes built using factor analysis, by reviewing the progress made according to presidential terms. First, major policies and agendas set forth in each administration are reviewed as a context for evaluating the ROK’s SDG progress. Second, averaged index values for each administration are graphed and evaluated. Finally, a concluding note suggests how the ROK should improve the design for implementing the SDGs by identifying the key barriers and opportunities, while also noting the applicability of the ROK’s sustainable development trajectory for other countries.
