ABSTRACT
This piece suggests that performative writing is located in embodied, evocative, partial, and material discourse. It makes its case for an ethical practice by offering an oath for ethical performative writing. The oath takes into account previous arguments presented in the essay as it issues a poetic call for ethical writing.
