ABSTRACT

This short essay considers the process of navel-gazing, how it leads the author to others. In short, it offers a tale of how navel-gazing takes the author away from self-absorption and makes others key to his self-reflection. It ends by pledging allegiance to navel-gazing and, more generally, to qualitative inquiry, for the work it accomplishes.
